About this artwork
This work is a fusion of the familiar and the unexpected, where the cactus transforms into an ice cream. Using acrylics, I wanted to capture the tension between pleasure and pain, sweetness and harshness. Surrealism invites us to question our perceptions and experience this paradox firsthand, bringing vibrant energy and a touch of unease that stimulates the imagination.
Geles Conesa Artés is a painter trained in advertising agencies and workshops with renowned masters, boasting extensive national and international exhibition experience. She primarily employs acrylic techniques, creating landscapes where figuration and abstraction coexist, highlighted by a radiant and dreamlike palette. Her works capture the fleeting and luminous moments of nature, conveying optimism, love, and an urgent call to care for our environment, emphasizing the ephemeral and fragile beauty symbolized by soap bubbles.
