About this artwork
In "Blue and Red" the spatula and brush as well as the stucco mass with different textures and the tissue paper provide the work with volume and structure, like a second skin on the work. There are powerful red and blue tones that, together with white, harmonize perfectly. Depending on the light that illuminates the room as well as the focus that is placed on the work, the viewer will have a different appreciation of it, thanks to its rich structure…
and different volumes.
In my work I seek the synthesis and simplification of the elements and the basic forms of representation, without forgetting the repetitive brushstrokes and pure impressionist colors, and the use of a wide variety of materials to give structure and volume to the work. The creative process is overwhelming at times, but rewarding and liberating when I get to express what is inside of me.
