About this artwork

'Positive News Three' is part of a series George is currently working on. Using a collage format, rather than using newspaper, he has made up the newspaper with only positive words, as most newspapers are filled with negative text. He has painted over areas in bright and pastel colours. Only positive art is allowed on his walls, as he feel it draws a sense of optimism into his environment, so far it is working for him.

This is a one of a kind artwork,… there are no duplicates or prints, though there are others in this series, but they are all completely different from one another. It was created with acrylic graffiti paint pens, the background is a matt photographic print on canvas of the collage newsprint, made up of positive words and quotes, then stained with polymer glazes and finished with 3 coats of UV protective satin varnish, it will not fade in direct sunlight

George Hall works from his studio in Sydney, Australia but grew up between Fiji and New Zealand, so thinks of himself as a child of the Pacific. Often working with mixed media, Hall creates unique pieces that have been described as positive, calming and whimsical. Excited by movement and form, Hall masterfully uses color to create artworks that possess a sense of balance and harmony.
