About this artwork
' Tiker Tape ' is a painting I started on a day that wasn't so great for me, I need to paint and it needed to be a celebration of life rather than a self piteous exercise. For the next week or so I added to it and by the end I was at peace with what was going on. If a painting makes me smile, it is better than any drug to me, I have even got goose bumps when I know I've finished something that means something to me.

George Hall works from his studio in Sydney, Australia but grew up between Fiji and New Zealand, so thinks of himself as a child of the Pacific. Often working with mixed media, Hall creates unique pieces that have been described as positive, calming and whimsical. Excited by movement and form, Hall masterfully uses color to create artworks that possess a sense of balance and harmony.
