About this artwork
I call this work "democracy" on odd days and "republica" on even days. (*)
This work is published in 10 signed copies. On each copy, the ochre mass is applied manually, making the work unique.
In [democracy/republica]° the crowd represents human matter, organic, convulsive and exultant.
I immersed it in an exuberant tectonic mass; our sensitive/terrestrial ecosystem. (Ochre pigment with fixative).
(*) This choice of "dynamic" title reveals my… intention to break out of the normative categories of artistic creation. Thus I claim the "poetic" and "imaginal" dimension of my work. (Note that these neologisms reflect my state of mind!). The Dadaist and Surrealist movements were intense revelations for me. For the time being, the nature of my artistic activity is resolutely situated in the avant-garde of Contemporary Art.
