About this artwork
Metamorphosis is a journey into shifting currents—layers of deep blue coil and fold around a central vortex, drawing you inward where light pink whispers break the surface. This piece moves beyond stillness; its textured swirl pulses with quiet energy, evoking the ebb of water or the pull of gravity in a hidden cosmic dance. By day, it feels alive and fluid, but as night falls, it changes completely, becoming an entirely different painting—transforming… into a secret landscape from another world; hence, Metamorphosis. The 2 changes are shown with the lighter blue in the Day look and the green/grays, the night. This work took more than a month to create as it constantly changed on me. Look for the spaceship in the upper right corner. The "robotic eyes" hide something above it where the forehead might be. There are many hidden layers and you can change the view all 4 different directions and see something new and unique.

Geraldine McNamara—A Thyme for Art. I am a painter, photographer, and visual artist, working primarily with acrylics, oils, enamels, industrial paint, alcohol and ink; emerging as a celebrated late-bloomer whose art career began unexpectedly. Employing a unique paint-manipulation technique—using no brushes— favors abstract forms, dynamic color shifts, and intricate layering to reveal hidden portals, dragons, and people, reminiscent of secret stories within each canvas. Her work radiates wonder, curiosity, and a deep connection to the rhythms and mysteries of the natural world, inviting viewers on a journey of discovery and emotional transformation.
Geraldine is an International ‘Conscious’ Artist, based in Palm Coast, Florida. Artwork exhibited in the ‘25 Miami Beach Art Festival, ‘26 at Starry Night Gallery Daytona Beach, FL; exhibited at STAAG, St Augustine FL; presented in the Summer ‘25 Xanadu Art Catalog, Scottsdale, AZ
