About this artwork
"Awakening Currents" is a piece that took on a new direction after I started it. Since I channel many of my paintings, I wasn't really surprised. The turquoise backdrop with dark, sinuous lines rise like skeletal branches or maybe a ladder-an alien underwater plant reaching toward light-the "ladder" showing hidden life and fleeting creatures.
