About this artwork
new york - this picture was painted in 2007 - there was a longing for ny - the possibility to fly to ny with the gallery artodrome - which also represented my pictures at art expo ny - was then unfortunately not possible. I only succeeded in 2013 - to my exhibition in the artifact gallery in ny. it will remain in my heart forever to walk through the streets with my husband and son - to fly over these skyscrapers by helicopter. To see all that I already…
knew by heart - but to be there is frankly exhilarating ...

Gerlinde Kosina is a committed Austrian painter whose works have featured in exhibitions and publications in Germany, Italy, Austria and the US. With oil painting as her preferred technique, she starts with chaotic stains and strokes that she then polishes with brushes, spatulas and her hands to arrive at a harmonious place. Her primary aim and theme is peace, brought to the forefront by her colours and compositions.
