Mamuthone,
The mamuthone is an ancient mask typical of the Mamoiada carnival in Sardinia.
The mamuthone's facial mask is black wooden, the body is covered with black sheepskins while a series of large cowbells are placed on the back. This figure inspired me artistically to create the work with spatula oil on materials not usual in painting such as pane carasau resin and recycled steel sheet.
