About this artwork
Description of the work.
"- S'Ardia" is known throughout Sardinia, a spectacular and reckless horse race that takes place between 6 and 7 July every year near the sanctuary of San Costantino in Sedilo (OR) and is one of the most important on the island for faith, tradition, human involvement and public turnout.
The event honors San Costantino by recalling the salient phases of the famous bridge battle
Milvio who put Constantine and Maxentius before… them, the first of whom won the battle later
the appearance of a cross. Ardia is a test of courage, an act of faith.
The "first pandela" the Corsican leader followed by a hundred riders gallops, creating a unique suggestion.
In the scene the artist tried to convey the emotion between the horses riders clouds of dust and sweat. Painting made oil on canvas.
The work is signed on the front and back accompanied by a certificate of originality.
« My artistic vocation allows me to transform personal energy in the form of works. Art is my best way of expressing myself and what I cannot say with words. »
