Jerusalem My Love expresses the beauty of the city of Jerusalem through the unique perspective of Gil Goren.
The works are colorful, joyful, surprising, and distinctive. By combining dozens of elements from both the old and new cityscapes, Goren captures Jerusalem’s spirit in his own powerful and vibrant style.
All the pieces in this collection are original, and no two are exactly alike.
As I wander through the streets of Jerusalem — especially… in the Old City and around its many sacred sites — I draw inspiration directly from what I see and feel. The city itself becomes my canvas.
In my works, you can find fragments of ancient houses, stones from the Western Wall, synagogue curtains, street signs, embroideries, sculptural details scattered throughout the city, and other symbols that reflect Jerusalem’s unique character.
All of these elements come together in a vivid and joyful palette, celebrating the living, breathing spirit of Jerusalem.

Gil Goren is a contemporary artist working in Israel and internationally.
