Finding a Melody is a vibrantly coloured abstract style oil painting in magical realism style. It is 40x30x1.5inches. The overlapping layers of paint and glazes give this painting an energy and movement which reveals different colours and aspects as the light around it changes. I felt I could hear music as a painted it and it does actually remind me of sheet music – hence the title! Although it stands between abstract and realism, it is still a woodland…
