About this artwork
I created this waterfall painting as a love letter to the raw power and delicate beauty found in nature's most dynamic moments. Standing before cascading water, I was struck by the interplay of movement and stillness—the way mist rises like breath, how light fractures through falling streams, and the profound sense of renewal that flows from such places. This piece emerged from observing waterfalls, sketching the subtle gradations of tone, the rhythm…
of water against stone, and the emotional resonance these landscapes evoke.
I wanted to capture not just what the eye sees, but what the heart feels when witnessing nature's untamed artistry. Working on paper allowed me to embrace spontaneity and transparency, layering pigments to build luminosity and depth.
