About this artwork
Nun, in ancient Egyptian mythology, was the first deity to exist at the dawn of time: a dark ocean stretching to infinity. Despite its impenetrable facade, Nun was far from empty: its chaotic, turbulent waters contained the potential to generate life.
My works depict the deity Nun in the act of creating life with her hands, like an artist.
The gestures are closely linked to the mudras, the color to the shade of blue used in ancient Egyptian art.…
