Giorgio Varani has been a sculptor for almost thirty years. He has found in this art form a refuge and a profound language, through which he can give voice to his inner world in moments of difficulty. His passion for sculpture has its roots in his childhood, when he imagined giving life to figures starting from the objects that surrounded him. His favorite material is marble: imposing, solid, a symbol of eternity. Yet, precisely through this austere material, he manages to sculpt forms that convey delicacy and sensitivity. His works are often a reflection on the human condition and the role that each of us plays in the world. Giorgio's style recalls the metaphysical art of the twentieth century, in particular that of Giorgio De Chirico, taking up its stylised figures and atmospheres suspended in time.
