About this artwork
Giovanni Giunta lives and works in Florence (Italy), a painter. He collaborated with various gallery owners, in Marseille, Dusseldorf and London. Finally Florence. His artistic path is self-taught. Working in variations of black, he skillfully layers his works, creating contrasts and illusions of depth and surface, then uses white to define light. His intimate dialogue with 'Leonor' drives his exploration of shadows, mediating between darkness and light, stimulating imagination, and revealing an elusive beauty in his work. His artistic journey has led him to important collaborations, including a prestigious commission in 2023 to create a portrait for the French actress Laëtitia Eïdo , co-star of Fauda. In March 2025 he continues this path of high-profile projects by creating a live portrait of the Italian actress Claudia Vismara , co-star of Rocco Schiavone. His works have been exhibited internationally and are available to collectors on Singulart.
