About this artwork
The inspiration for this work comes from listening to the Sonata nr. 17 opera 31 n.2 by LV Beethoven "The Tempest" performed on the piano. In fact, in the painting it can be seen how the sea is the keyboard of the piano, with the keys moved by the waves, giving rise to the notes that come out of the troubled waters, and then dissolve in the sky, crossed by beams of light and air that envelops the face of a woman ..... the origin of the storm.
« Art is my best form of communication. I realize the thought of that moment, as if it were a story, creating a work that arouses emotion within the observer. »
Giovanni Tomaselli is a painter and sculptor based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in France, the United Kingdom, and Czechia. He cites his "troubled yet calming oasis of thought" as leading him towards the conception and development of his compositions. In addition, Tomaselli's pieces are imbued with the freedom imbued in the natural elements of water, air, fire, and earth.
