About this artwork
The artwork addresses the impact of climate change on elephants in Africa. Their living conditions will continue to deteriorate until a return to a healthy environment is no longer possible. Hence the title of the work: Point of No Return. This tipping point is modeled as a three-dimensional boundary running across the entire piece. The area above it represents the status quo, with an already suffering elephant as its central motif. The area below…
depicts an elephant in a state of disintegration, doomed to perish.
