About this artwork
The work is from the New York landscapes cycle. Oil painting on canvas. Done in September 2001, when I was preparing an exhibition dedicated to New York. While I was completing it there was the attack at
Twin towers. So in the course of work I modified it to somehow tell the terrible terrorist attack, considered the beginning of an epochal change in our modern history. It is a work that gives a sense of drama. The subtitle is: 11 September 2001,… the first chronicles of the third millennium.
