About this artwork
The work is made of acrylic on canvas, the canvas is slightly folded vertically and forms precise backgrounds and depths. The realization of this work was suspended for a few years, finished in 2021, after various second thoughts. I am happy and convinced that I have successfully completed it.
From the Men in the cityes cycle, it represents an interesting synthesis of this cycle of works. Vertical life of the big city. Mondrian was so impressed… with the New York skyscrapers that I exemplify the silhouettes of the skyscrapers in simple squares, rectangles. Vertical city depicts a city seen from below, there are no people, order and geometric tranquility reigns that instills confidence. An ideal city of the 21st century.
