About this artwork
In this work the left side is etched and pitched and during the printing phases the result is checked while theright side is inked randomly so that each print will be different from the others.
The engraving was made in 1973 when some proofs were printed. In this piece, I explored the tension between order and chaos through gravure and monotype techniques.
The left side’s precise grid contrasts with the organic randomness on the right, inviting… viewers to reflect on balance and disruption. This artwork radiates a captivating energy that enlivens any space, sparking curiosity and thoughtful contemplation. It’s a visual dialogue between control and spontaneity that resonates deeply with the rhythm of life.
