In this work, Giustino Caposciutti transforms the woven surface into a perceptual and energetic field. The undulating rhythm of the textile pattern creates a visual vibration that moves across the surface, suggesting waves, frequencies, and continuous movement.
Hidden inside and behind the structure of the work are 150 aluminum antennas designed to capture electromagnetic waves present in the surrounding environment. Although invisible to the viewer,… these antennas turn the artwork into a sensitive system, capable of interacting with the electromagnetic field that permeates space.
The textile weave thus becomes more than material structure: it acts as a membrane between the visible and the invisible, where color, rhythm, and energy converge. The surface we see is only the perceptible layer of a deeper process in which the artwork absorbs and resonates with the invisible signals of the environment.
« Art is a way to express oneself in joy and freedom, as well as the love for oneself and for others. »
Giustino Caposciutti is an award-winning painter, textile artist, and printmaker based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Belgium, Switzerland, Australia, and France. He describes his diverse compositions as representing messages of hope. Caposciutti's artistic practice is marked by discovery through the materials he employs. For him, after having "given birth" to a piece, it assumes the property of change, just as in the natural environment.
