About this artwork
This work of art was made by 69 people during different events in Turin 2016 and in Arezzo in 2023.
Each person painted and signed a juta string.
All the strings have been woved manually in 2024.
This piece has been done with different materials (acrylic, pen, colored pencil, tempera...). This work represents the interpersonal relationship, the cooperation e coordination in doing things togheter. The fringes, eclectic labels from life's journey,… dance with stories untold, inviting the viewer into a world where diversity is richness. Caposciutti is considered the founder of Participatory Art and Plural Art. He starter involving public in making artworks since 1970 but he gave a specific format of Participatory Art in 1993.

Giustino Caposciutti is an award-winning painter, textile artist, and printmaker based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Belgium, Switzerland, Australia, and France. He describes his diverse compositions as representing messages of hope. Caposciutti's artistic practice is marked by discovery through the materials he employs. For him, after having "given birth" to a piece, it assumes the property of change, just as in the natural environment.
