About this artwork
This diptych is made up of two canvases: the first measures 100x100x3.5 cm, while the second is slightly smaller in size, 70x100x3.5 cm. They can be hung together on the wall, close together or slightly apart. The predominant theme is "suspension". My goal is to convey a sense of 'lightness', of emotional and sensorial suspension present in dreams, a distinctive element that permeates both dreamscapes, where human figures seem to float on clouds… and ethereal seas, and in everyday objects. Chairs and armchairs, placed alongside mangroves or trees in vibrantly colored seas, create the illusion of being suspended waiting to be occupied or after being used. The work was exhibited in May 2023 at the important and evocative Orangery of San Sisto in Rome, an institutional place of the Municipality of Rome. In case of purchase, the catalog will be attached.
« My research is to give shape and color to images, that filtered by emotions, live a metaphysical dimension that search for representation »
