In the series "en famille" you can put together your own family members.
What one sees in the individual figures is open to interpretation.
All pictures are independent originals, but the figures always vary the same basic types.
The images, made of acrylic and a layer of tissue paper, are mounted on hardboard with paint and have a grooved surface.
By reinforcing the back with a wooden strip, the pictures can stand freely on a gallery rail without… a frame, or you can attach a hook to the rail and hang the pictures next to each other on the wall. Each individual figure measures 192 x 25 cm.
Grit Peters is a renowned painter and conceptual artist whose roots lie in a family of artists. Using acrylic on tissue paper, she initially creates minimalistic line figures in her work, which are loosened up by the fluidity of the paint and the furrows it creates on the paper. The works of art, especially those from the "en famille" series, are put together in modular groups. Despite their reduced nature, they evoke deep emotions and leave room for individual interpretations and attributions.
