In this work, I wanted to lay bare a fragmented, complex world, often lacking certainties and continuity. In this scenario, the body, memory, and visual matter intertwine to tell not only individual stories, but also the anxieties of a society that appears increasingly empty and blind to its own history.
Carla Guarino, with a solid education at the Aversa Art School and the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, works with collage, décollage, acrylic paint, and a variety of materials. She experiments with techniques that combine rupture and recomposition, in a dynamic balance between gesture, material, and control. In her work, she explores memory, time, and the body as fragments of identity, conveying the tensions and anxieties of our time with intense delicacy. She is currently a teacher of Art and Image, a profession she combines with her ongoing artistic activity. Over the years, she has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad. Among the most significant: 2014 - Sublimazione materiche - Solo Exhibition, curated by Luigi Fusco, Casa de la Cultura, Monovar. Spain 2015 - Art Fair Market Exhibition Padua, curated by Giovanna Donnarumma and Gennaro Ippolito, Contemporary Art Talent (CAT). 2025 - Splinters, Carlo Palli Donation, Impruneta (Florence)
