About this artwork
"I don't paint geese because they are cute – but because they fly, call, warn, and dream."
In Arcadia Anseris, we encounter a flock of geese who are not content with earthly life. They set off into a colorful Arcadia, carried by a rainbow arc that stretches across the scene like a cosmic compass. The animals are almost mythical – their bodies are reminiscent of real anatomy.
This work was created in the spring of 2023, inspired by the geese on… our organic farm, whose calls pierce the sky like ancient songs. I wanted to capture their energy – not as a study of nature, but as a poetic echo. The rainbow is not a weather phenomenon, but a symbol: of movement, of transition, of the invisible between worlds.
The composition combines analog drawing with expressive color fields that are deliberately placed in a chaotic and rhythmic manner.
