About this artwork
In this work I captured the vibrant energy of geometric shapes and the impulsiveness of abstraction. With acrylics, collage, and ink, I exploit the tension between order and chaos. Vibrant colors and bold lines invite reflection and energize the space, providing each viewer with a unique and inspiring experience. It is a celebration of creative freedom that awakens the senses.
« Painting is my means of expression, it occupies all my life. I work relentlessly exploring the world around me and the events that affect me. »
Guillaume Defins is a French artist whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and in Belgium. His artistic expression takes form through dreamlike abstraction that pushes the limits of figuration. Defins' striking compositions also convey his particular taste for the use of color and matter. He creates using acrylics, pastels, India ink, spray paint, and often incorporates sand, as well as elements of collage on his canvases.
