About this artwork
"Sattelfest" is one of the 30 objects in the exhibition project "Radschlag", which has been shown as a traveling exhibition in Germany and some European countries from 1999 to the present day.
The word "sattelfest" (securely saddled) is truly realized in the object and impressively demonstrates the beauty of the former bicycle saddles and the wooden screw clamps of the carpenters.

Gunter Schöne is a self-taught artist who works with old objects, everyday items, paper, and stone. His works include handcrafted stone sculptures made of limestone, sandstone, and alabaster, as well as assemblages and object boxes, often addressing critical, poetic, or socially engaged themes. He combines everyday life, fairy tales, and personal experiences into multifaceted, interactive installations.
