About this artwork
In this work, I have used oil to capture a figurative path that symbolizes the journey of life, flanked by vigorous trees under a sky of intense contrasts, where the sunset and the moon meet is called Selenelion. Each element is imbued with emotion and color, seeking to evoke hope and reflection in the observer. This painting will not only decorate a space, but will also fill any home with an energy of mystery and wonder, inviting everyone to explore…
the less-traveled paths of their own existence.

Gustavo de León, born in Montevideo on October 23, 1956, is a Uruguayan painter.
I practiced different disciplines of painting and sculpture in my watercolorist mother's workshop throughout my teenage years.
In 1974, she moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to work in a family business. In 2002, her work in the hotel industry took her to Machu Picchu, Cusco, Peru, alternating with trips to the Amazon rainforest and Lima. She returned to Buenos Aires in 2019, where she studied Fine Arts and began a sustained production of oil paintings on canvas, exploring different styles and materials. Between 2023 and 2025, she participated in several group exhibitions in Buenos Aires, Paris, Amsterdam, and Punta del Este, Uruguay.
