About this artwork
What makes this seascape interesting, is that the horizon is barely visible due to the humid air, as if the sea and sky merge into one. The painting was inspired by a photo taken on a holiday in Cyprus. As a counterbalance to the blurred horizon, the more concrete, even stony bank can be seen in the lower part of the painting, enhanced by a rough texture, achieved by mixing plaster with the paint. Hidden in the image are also abstract bubbles, which… represent underwater air bubbles. In front of the blue summer sky, white clouds float merrily, leading the eye towards the middle of the image. As we look at the painting, we feel the vastness and of the sea, the artwork has a calming effect.
Inspired by lights and nature, Hungarian artist Györgyi Borjádi paints with acrylics, oil, and mixed media from her Budapest studio. Her abstract style bursts with vivid colors and unique, flowing shapes, forming delightful, thought-provoking imaginary worlds. Borjádi’s evocative work moves softly as if dancing or gently swimming, conveying tranquility and peace to the soul.
