About this artwork
There is a compelling theory in art criticism and philosophy that argues the best way to truly experience an artwork is to encounter it in the place of its creation. According to this view, context is inseparable from meaning — the environment, atmosphere, and even the cultural or emotional landscape in which an artwork was made are integral to understanding it. The space becomes part of the artwork’s aura. By standing where the artist once stood,…
the viewer participates in the same physical and psychological setting, gaining a deeper, more intimate connection to the creative act itself.
This work captures the tension between spontaneity and control, fusing art brut with a distorted realism. I wanted to reflect how the future intertwines with the past, creating a hypnotic visual cycle. Having it in your home, you'll feel a vibrant energy that invites reflection and questioning of time and memory.
