About this artwork
Threats also come from the cosmos that could ultimately destroy human existence. I depicted this as a "meteorite storm" over an arbitrary earthly cityscape. The painting remained unfinished—a painterly elaboration based on the model of the "Galactic Vortex" might not have been appropriate to the drama; in any case, I haven't yet been able to bring myself to do it, and perhaps the form of the sketch could be accepted.
