About this artwork
Where Denmark ends, on the north beach on Grenen, the landscape and weather are very expressive and therefore unique. You are alone on this beach between drifting sand, mist, wind and sea. This nature captures the hiker and in the vastness of this landscape between the seas that meet here, space and time are lost. There our thoughts are free and we let ourselves drift. We are usually not looking for anything concrete, but we float lightly and freely… and feel safe. With its soft, open surfaces in delicately graduated nuances of blue and sand tones, this painting gives the viewer the opportunity to immerse themselves in the mood described and go on their own journey of thought. The very light and delicate blue tones of this almost monochrome work have a very calming effect and the form-free painting style opens the perception to the limitless.
« I want to be creative and experience creativity. Therefore I paint what I feel and with great tension, I look at what surrounds me. »
Hasso Heybrock is an artist based in Germany who has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in Denmark, Italy, and Spain. He believes that looking at a painting means walking into an unknown adventure through the picture, where hidden emotions come to the surface. For Heybrock, making the adventure as intense and exciting as possible for the viewer is his main challenge as a painter.
