About this artwork
This painting was completed over a period of three months in 2018, whilst Hazel was artist in residence at the Wirral country park. It is painted across 3 canvases. The 1st and 2nd canvases are 100cm high X 150cm wide. The 3rd canvas is 100cm high X 50cm in wide. The overall size of the painting is 100cm X 350cm.
It is textured in layers over time with a pallet knife and brush. Looking at this scene, the viewer observes the changing atmosphere as… each season progresses into the yearly cycle of weather patterns.
The artist has used a number of different colour pallets for this painting, ranging from cool through to warm and hot colours. This is unique to this artists collection of work regarding the changing of the seasons.
