About this artwork
In this piece, I poured my emotions into bold, sweeping strokes of blue and contrasting splashes of white and rust. Using acrylics, I aimed to capture the restless energy of discovery and introspection. The abstract forms invite you to explore the depth of feeling beneath the surface, filling your space with vibrant intensity and a sense of dynamic movement. This painting is a journey into the unknown, alive with passion.
Helen Fortin is a prolific, lyrical abstract painter based in Quebec, Canada. Influenced by the beauty of nature and poetry, and the troubling times in which we live, she entices the viewer to experience their own personal journey as they enter her artworks. Her `Arctic Melt' series displays the beauty of the north with a sad underlying message that the ice is rapidly melting. Other series include 'The Nature of Cities', and the abstracted elements of 'Books' Helen's pieces flow with saturated colour schemes and layered textures, all enlivened by a vivid colour palette. The result exudes a jarring sense of movement, power and light . With a background in artists’ management and a consultant for non-profits, Helen understands the tremendous influence the arts have in unifying and defining community. Her mission is to get this message across by being involved with various art groups on committees and acting as Co-curator for the Old Brewery Mission art gallery in Montreal. NO NFTs.
