About this artwork
I poured my emotions into this piece, blending bold pinks with tranquil blues to evoke a sense of awakening and transformation. The semi-abstract forms invite viewers to feel the ebb and flow of change, while the expressive brushstrokes capture the raw energy of becoming. This painting brings a vibrant, uplifting spirit to any space—like a breath of fresh air that inspires growth and renewal.
Helen Fortin is a prolific, lyrical abstract painter based in Quebec, Canada. Influenced by the beauty of nature and poetry, and the troubling times in which we live, she entices the viewer to experience their own personal journey as they enter her artworks. Her `Arctic Melt' series displays the beauty of the north with a sad underlying message that the ice is rapidly melting. Other series include 'The Nature of Cities', and the abstracted elements of 'Books' Helen's pieces flow with saturated colour schemes and layered textures, all enlivened by a vivid colour palette. The result exudes a jarring sense of movement, power and light . With a background in artists’ management and a consultant for non-profits, Helen understands the tremendous influence the arts have in unifying and defining community. Her mission is to get this message across by being involved with various art groups on committees and acting as Co-curator for the Old Brewery Mission art gallery in Montreal. NO NFTs.
