About this artwork
This piece was made using collage scraps and detritus off the floor of my studio at the end of a three week residency last year in Orquevaux, France. It includes scraps of paintings, paper bogs, wrapping paper, ink, and paint. I titled it Lifeboat because it feels like it's holding a lot of life's treasures and heading to safety beyond the rocky waters.
