About this artwork
The first works in the "PEACE OF MIND" series were originally created in response to the Pantone color "Cloud Dancer." White tones are meant to symbolize peace, contemplation, and serenity, as well as the desire for a new beginning in a world overwhelmed by stimuli. In this work, I tried to capture the fragile connection between nature and emotion—and combined this with nature-themed quotations from Eichendorff's "Mondnacht" (...as if heaven had…
silently kissed the earth). I chose the hare because, among other things, it represents new beginnings and the renewing power of nature.
The combination of acrylic, ink, and collage creates a dynamic energy that is both delicate and vibrant. The distinctive lines created with a reed pen and ink further emphasize this effect.
