About this artwork

Nandine is on a date. The conversation has caught her attention — really caught it. You can see it in her face: she's listening, she's thinking, and she's already decided. There's a stillness to her that isn't passive — it's the stillness of someone completely in control of the moment.
I wanted to paint that. Not a posed portrait, but a real person in a real moment — present, alive, and entirely herself.
