About this artwork
This work is from the series “Head Fair”: A journey into the pulsating chaos of the world of thought. In these works, the state of mental overload and creative disorder is captured. A transformation in explosive imagery. With strong colors, applied with dynamic brushstrokes and powerful spatula movements, images full of energy and depth are created. Every look at the works reveals new details and levels that unfold depending on the way of looking… at them and the mood. “Head Fair” is a visual dialogue between emotion and perception that makes the liveliness and complexity of inner chaos tangible.
Hendrik Boeing (*1980 in Borken, Westphalia) is a German artist who specializes in abstract painting. His works reflect cultural trends, sociopolitical turmoil and the pursuit of perfection. Already in his youth he found painting as a medium for his personal expression and thus developed a style that is now unmistakable and characterized by abstract expressionism.
His work is influenced by artists such as Daniel Richter, Cy Twombly and Jean-Michel Basquiat. With striking brushstrokes, spatula techniques and an always intense colour palette, he creates powerful, emotional images. All works are characterized by a unique combination of intuition and precision, which characterize his personal style. Hendrik Boeing is particularly fascinated by the contrast between chaos and structure, which is constantly renegotiated in his pictures.
