About this artwork
This work is an intense exploration of contrasts and subtle movements. Using Indian ink, I sought to capture a fluid, almost ethereal energy that invites quiet contemplation. It will bring an atmosphere of deep calm and mystery to your home, like a gentle breath that awakens the soul and stimulates the imagination.
Hysao Takagi primarily uses Chinese calligraphy, Indian ink, pure pigments, and rice paper, drawing on her experience between Japan and France, as well as her passion for dance. Her technique is distinguished by the superposition of layers, mastery of line, and the subtle union of abstraction and writing, integrating choreographic gestures and artisanal refinement. Her works express the fusion of energy, contemplation, and freedom, inviting us to feel the poetry of the moment and the profound harmony between body and mind.
