About this artwork
SAT 1/2021 Expansion of the plot belongs to the SAT Agriculture and Technology series, started after the COVID lockdown.
In the summer of 2020, I had a garden to explore. The interaction with its planes of color and form influenced my conceptual search for another, more airy and balanced workspace. Building a cabin in a garden is a metaphor. My primary tool for giving it form is drawing. Drawing is the link that can give shape to what is inherently… ethereal or intangible: ideas.
Since I can't build a shed in any garden right now, I'm drawing it. As I draw it, it takes shape and becomes real. All that's left to consider are the permits, taxes, and other expenses. In the meantime, I'm allowing myself to create new and different models, both of the plot and the building itself. That way, I have more options to choose from.
With this work, I try to go beyond the garden, expanding the territory to include concepts of agricultural production, technology, and urban planning.
Ignacio Klindworth employs a wide variety of media, from mural and fresco painting to digital art and ceramics, supported by a solid international background in applied arts. He uses mixed media, addresses both abstraction and figuration, and explores internal structures through mental networks and modular compositions. His style, imbued with color and graphic elements, maps ever-changing realities. His works invite introspection, conveying the instability and subjectivity of reality, seeking to open a constant dialogue of interpretation and emotion in the viewer.
