About this artwork
From the archive is an artwork I created in 1987 in mixed media on stiffer drawing paper. Now updated with an acrylic green gold background in place of the yellowed paper.
"Lady and Mr" presents an intriguing dialogue between a horse and a woman, rendered through a mix of abstract and expressionist elements. The soft, muted colors of their faces contrast with the textured green and gold frame surrounding them, suggesting a boundary between two worlds.… The woman’s elaborate hairstyle and confident gaze balance the horse’s gentle, attentive expression. This piece invites contemplation and would bring a distinctive presence to any space.
