Cheerful and colorful geometric artwork that is inspired on my daily walks and explores the different cycles in life, the changing of seasons and circumstances, and what each day can bring. Each geometric shape can represent the experiences in our lives, some of them better than others, and how them all as a whole comprise our life experience. The main background with the tree represents the spring,… one of the shapes represents a snowing season and there is even some dark phases/shapes. But all in all, good and bad moments, each day contributes of who we are and who we become.

Ilaamen Pelshaw is a Guatemalan painter based in the United States whose work has been featured in solo and group shows nationally. Growing up with a grandfather who was an artist and muralist, Pelshaw became interested in art herself and developed a practice centered around positivity and warmth. Mostly working in acrylic on canvas, her work is always colorful and illustration based, whether through quirky animal portraits or paintings of Latin American culture and crafts.
