About this artwork
2024 / Acrylic, graphite, ink, latex and found objects on Masonite Board.
Comedy / A funny artwork of an opossum wearing a pink wig and dressed as Marie Antoinette, surrounded by cakes and pastries. The title "Let them eat cake" is a take on the famously quote attributed to Marie Antoinette due to her aloof to the real life of the people. The small details like the dainty cake, cupcake, and playful butterfly add layers of delight, using a mix… of acrylics and ink to capture bold, vivid colors and textures. With its pop-art allure and surreal charm, this piece radiates whimsy and an intriguing narrative, making it a vibrant addition to any space.
« I create colorful, warm and happy art- just like my homeland. My graphic-design and illustration background allowed me to diversify my style into Illustrative, geometric and expressionist themes. »
