In this painting, I tried to capture nature in a moment of perhaps only apparent tranquility. The late afternoon atmosphere invites the viewer to immerse themselves in the hidden emotions of a small Tuscan lake like that of Montepulciano.

I am a German artist who has lived and worked in Umbria since 1986. My training began in Germany in the applied arts sector and continued in Umbria, where I developed my artistic sensibility and creativity. Painting is the center of my life because it helps me express myself freely.
My works feature both imaginary figures and portraits of friends, and of myself. Landscapes and places I've experienced, people I've even just met once. A humanity that enriches me with experiences and knowledge every day, and which I enjoy depicting in its ever-surprising variety and diversity.
My painting has been described as "impressive," with instantaneous and sincere gestures and an "effervescent" vitality. My style is characterized by bold lines and vigorous brushstrokes, but with a light color that, however, darkens at times.
