About this artwork
This artwork expresses the tumultuous dance of the waves, the swell crashing against the shore. With the beautiful pigments of pastel, I created this vibrant, almost hypnotic energy, between the deep blue of the water and the warm hues of the shore. Each stroke evokes a blend of strength and delicacy, infusing a marine breath that will enliven any living space with a soothing and dynamic fluidity.
Inès Soavi, a painter, photographer, and illustrator born in Paris, draws on her background as an interior architect and industrial designer, as well as her travels throughout Asia and the Middle East, to explore painting, dry pastels, and photography. She works with acrylics, sand, paper fiber, and resin, playing with the effects of relief, matte and glossy finishes, and subtle shades of blue and pearl, creating works that oscillate between abstraction and landscape evocation. Her art celebrates the fragile beauty of our planet with a captivating visual poetry, inviting us to dream between reality and imagination.
