About this artwork
In this image, I deliberately placed two bright areas clearly and calmly, like windows, like inner spaces. Around them lies darkness, depth, perhaps even uncertainty. The golden lines form a figure. An upright form, whose head becomes visible in the upper circle, not loud, not dominant, but focused. The lines extend downwards and branch out like roots. This figure is in the process of becoming. It is connected to the ground, to its own inner strength.…
We live in a time when news carries weight and certainties seem fragile. I wanted to portray a person, perhaps vulnerable, but sustained by inner light. The gold represents dignity. It is a reminder that there is substance within each of us.
The gold branches out like roots, growing downwards, seeking support, finding new strength. This image speaks of attitude. Of rootedness. Of the decision not to overlook the light.
