About this artwork
"The ancient Greek myth of the creation of the world", excerpt:
The world began to be created. Boundless Chaos gave birth to Eternal Darkness - Erebus and dark Night - Nyuktu. And from the Night and Darkness came the eternal Light - Ether and the joyful bright Day - Gemera. The light spread all over the world, and night and day began to replace each other.
The mighty, fertile Earth gave birth to the boundless blue Sky - Uranus, and the Sky stretched… over the Earth. High Mountains, born of the Earth, stood proudly in front of him, and the ever-noisy Sea spread wide.
Uranus - the Sky - has reigned in peace. He married a fertile Land. Uranus and Gaia had six sons and six daughters-mighty, formidable titans. Their son, the titan Ocean, flowing around the whole earth like a boundless river, and the goddess Thetis gave birth to all the rivers that roll their waves to the sea, and the sea goddesses oceanides.
Canvas, acrylic, UV protection varnish, artist's signature.
« Like any other artist, I try to make this world a better place by bringing new emotions into it. I hope it works. »
Irina Tsypilova is a Vienna-based artist and member of the Union of Artists of Vienna and Austria. Since graduating with honors from Art College in 2002, she has developed a unique style combining painting, collage, mosaic, and graphics on paper, canvas, and wood. Her work explores texture and material, balancing spontaneity with precision.
Her recent series contrasts bright, freeform shapes with smooth black lines, blending abstraction with controlled design. Irina is known for surreal compositions—like syrup pouring from cheese or a pear on a glowing cube—that reflect her fascination with the absurd and simple forms’ philosophical depth.
Inspired by 20th-century surrealists and cubists, her art evokes strong emotions and deep reflection. Her works are held in private collections across Austria, Italy, Germany, Spain, and France.
